God wants us to be a praying people. What great examples we have of men and women of God that have pioneered in prayer spending sacrificial time with God so that victory can be won in the lives of others for the Kingdom of God. There are so many in history that have made their mark on God’s heart through their effectual prayers. God is looking for that kind of commitment in us where we are not satisfied with the way things are and know that His Kingdom manifested on earth is the ultimate answer to see things changed. For those who believe, prayer is the engagement and vehicle that causes God’s heart and will to be done on earth.

Much time spent with God is the secret of all successful praying.Prayer which is felt as a mighty force is the mediate or immediate product of much time spent with God. Our short prayers owe their point and efficiency to the long ones that have preceded them. The short prevailing prayer cannot be prayed by one who has not prevailed with God in a mightier struggle of long continuance. Jacob’s victory of faith could not have been gained without that all-night wrestling…
